Apologetics

...is the defense of the Christian Faith. This assumes that there are in fact, tenets of the faith, which distinguish Christianity from other faiths, characterize its nature and which can be proven beyond reasonable doubt. Of the many beliefs that we hold as Christian people (don't lie, cheat or steal, etc.), there are only a few which are absolute, unique and uncompromizable bedrock tenets of our faith. These have nothing to do with what we do but rather with what God does for us. Two of the cornerstone tenets upon which Christianity rests are the atoning death and the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is the Truth upon which Christianity is based.

Rebirth

...is the means by which the natural (physical) man is given spiritual life. At the time of our conception we begin a process called life. Life is a physical characteristic of animals and plants, which we all intuitively understand but which is very difficult to define succinctly. The accepted definition, therefore, is usually left to scientists who, of course, define life in "scientific" terminology. Spiritual birth does not occur at the same time as physical or natural birth. And since spiritual life is a different dimension from natural life, it cannot be defined using the same terminology we use to define natural life. There are, however, analogies we can use to demonstrate something of the essence of spiritual life to someone who does not accept the reality of spiritual things. Just as physical life is the result of the physical union of two "entities", so spiritual life is the result of the union of two "entities". Spiritual life results when the Spirit of God unites with man. This union results in a "rebirth" or a "new birth" because there is now a new life--a new man has been born. Evangelical Christians describe this as being "born again" and Jesus speaks it of in the third chapter of the Gospel of John (John 3:1-8). This spiritual birth occurs at the time of salvation and is possible because Jesus Christ rose in victory from the grave and, therefore, He can offer His resurrected life to us. (Galatians 2:20)

Discipleship

...is the daily walk of the born again believer as he voluntarily chooses to allow Jesus to assume lordship of his physical life and manifest Himself in the believer. God demands that we are to be holy (1 Peter 1:16). But holiness is a divine characteristic—not a human characteristic. The flesh does not generate divine qualities; else they would be human and not divine. The mystery of Godliness is that God Himself produces in us His character so that the world can see His nature and character through us. Otherwise, no one would ever see God, for no man can see God and live. Exodus 33:20 "And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live." (KJV)
